Above: IMDB
The longest and final segment "Una donna d'affari" is clearly the best. Nino falls haplessly under the spell of a statuesque career woman played by Dolores Wettach (a 1-shot actress who later married Hall of Fame baseball legend Ted Williams!).

Directed by Renato Castellani (an old-school maestro of great skill), this extended vignette is a classic of coitis interruptus, as the imposing woman is constantly seducing Nino, but always called away at the key moment on business, leaving him wholly unsatisfied. The timing and physical comedy of this segment is breathtaking, as are the attractive locations and sets.

By contrast, opening segment "Cocaina di domenica" starring Nino is a complete waste of time, running a very tedious 30-plus minutes long. He and his wife sample cocaine and have slapstick misadventures with their neighbors, in what amounts to a very poorly written and executed 1-act play. Co-star Anna Maria Ferrero is obviously talented, but wasted here.

Middle segment is extremely droll, as Ugo Tognazzi basically walks through his role as "Il professore". A teacher of teenage girls, one would expect a little hanky-panky, but instead director Marco Ferreri and his regular scriptwriter Rafael Azcona concoct a thoroughly dull slice of life in which hardly anything interesting occurs. (User Reviews

The English translation of the title is "Countersex." In three vignettes, Italy's sexual mores are examined by three different directors. In the first act, "Cocaina di Domenica," (directed by Franco Rossi), a young couple (Nino Manfredi, Anna-Maria Ferrero) have an unexpected encounter with cocaine; in the second, "Il Proffessore," (directed by Marco Ferreri) Ugo Tognazzi struggles with his job, a certain student, and dealing with his ageing aunts; and in the third, "Una Donna d'Affari," (directed by Renato Castellani), Nino Manfredi meets the woman of his dreams (Dolores Wettach), but does the modern Italian woman have time for love? No no no
per una notte amore no
no no no
per una notte amore no
per una sola notte no
ma per la vita intera si,
le porte della notte
per noi si chiuderanno,
tu dici questo ma non sai
che... la notte mia non passa mai
Per una sola notte no,
lo sai che voglio bene a te
l"amore non è fatto
di un attimo soltanto
il tempo non esiste più
se....accanto a me
non ci sei tu
Per una sola notte no
ma per la vita intera si
desiderarti tanto
sentir per ogni istante
il tempo che si ferma
la notte mia non passa mai
la notte mia non passa mai
la notte mia non passa
desiderarti tanto
sentir per ogni istante
il tempo che si ferma sai
la notte mia non passa mai
per una sola notte no
per una sola notte no
no, no, no, no
for one night, not love
no, no, no, no
for one night, not love
for a single night, no
but for the whole life.
the doors of the night
we will close.
you say that but you don't know
that... the night my never goes
for a single night, no.
you know i love you
love is not
for just a moment
time doesn't exist anymore
if... near to me
i don't have you
for a single night, no
but for the whole life
like you so much
listen to every moment
the time stops
the night my never goes
the night my never goes
the night my does not pass
like you so much
listen to every moment
the time stops, you know
the night my never goes
for a single night, no
for a single night, no

About Music
Ennio Morricone
Ennio Morricone (Italy)
Ennio Morricone: was born 10 November 1928) is an Italian composer, orchestrator, conductor, and former trumpet player. A classmate of director Sergio Leone with whom he would form one of the great director/composer partnerships (right up there with Eisenstein & Prokofiev, Hitchcock & Herrmann, Fellini & Rota), Ennio Morricone studied at Rome's Santa Cecilia Conservatory, where he specialized in trumpet. His first film scores were relatively undistinguished, but he was hired by Leone for Per un pugno di dollari (1964) on the strength of some of his song arrangements. His score for that film, with its sparse arrangements, unorthodox instrumentation (bells, electric guitars, harmonicas, the distinctive twang of the jew's harp) and memorable tunes, revolutionized the way music would be used in Westerns, and it is hard to think of a post-Morricone Western score that doesn't in some way reflect his influence. Although his name will always be synonymous with the spaghetti Western, Morricone has also contributed to a huge range of other film genres: comedies, dramas, thrillers, horror films, romances, art movies, exploitation movies - making him one of the film world's most versatile artists. He has written nearly 400 film scores, so a brief summary is impossible, but his most memorable work includes the Leone films, Gillo Pontecorvo's La battaglia di Algeri (1966) , Roland Joffé's The Mission (1986), Brian De Palma's The Untouchables (1987) and Giuseppe Tornatore's Nuovo Cinema Paradiso (1988), plus a rare example of sung opening credits for Pier Paolo Pasolini's Uccellacci e uccellini (1966)......(IMDB, WIKI)

Little known comedy from the golden period of Dino Risi. Walter Chiari is a loser and a manipulative liar but he's also a father. a divorced father yes but still a father.
